March 21– International Day for the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination
General Assembly of the United Nations has declared 21 March as an  International Day for the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination  as a reaction to the murder of 69 anti-apartheid demonstrators in Sharpeville, South-Africa, in 1960. Period 21 to 28 March is considered as a week of solidarity with nations fighting against racism and racial discrimination.
